“Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.”
― Dr. Seuss
I just read this quote. I have before but it reminded me of a conversation I had this week. Someone had said let’s “play it by ear”.
Another, person asked, “what does that mean, ‘play it by ear'”.
I replied, “well, it most likely means exactly that. Play it by ear. Most likely referring to music and playing it by ear and not by reading music.”
I was countered with something along the lines of “that seems too simple”.
To which I countered, “sometimes the simplest answer is the correct one.”
